Here I am working on my favorite muscle group or the one I like to make bigger and bigger!! Normally I use a lot more weight than this but the photographer got there at the end of my workout. I actualy got a cramp after this one and had to have a female PT give me a massage!!!

HNT Here I am!!
Ok this was me back in 1986. I was at Beale AFB and I am standing up against the POW cell blocks. I have entitled this photo "Skull Fuck". Some of you have seen it before but this constantly reminds me of Shakespere's Othelo " Alas poor Yorik". So yes my body has gone from this shape of 220 lbs at age 21. To the next photo of well you figure it out. Peace out

Yep 2002 summer of this was the shape I was in.. 320 lbs of Whale blubber. I had a 42 inch waist and man what a size.. So in a little over 3 years I have made some significant changes. The weight loss came immidiatly. It took a while to get the muscle tone and definition. So if your thinkning it can't be done your wrong!! NO FUCKEN CARBS! Come on and sing it with me! NO FUCKEN CARBS!!
Low Carb all the way!!
For years now the body builder has been using a high protein diet to feed the muscles they are taking to the brink of exhaustion every day at the gym. They realized that protein does not store as fat if you eat to much of it. Your body just discards the unused proteins. We know that the carbs we consume are used for energy kind of like logs for the fire. Well if you consume to many carbs instead of discarding the extra carbs the body stores the extra as fat and keeps it to be burned later. So with this in mind it is pretty simple, but I will explain it just to give me something to do.....
If your overweight..and you stop eating carbs your body will go to your reserve or the carbs that have been stored as fat and burn them up. This will make you loose weight right? If we stop eating the breads, pastas, starches, bleached white carbs stuff our body has no choice but to burn your fat. Think of a cabin in the woods in the Winter time. The owner stacks wood on the outside to burn in his fireplace to keep him warm. Well if he is only burning 3 logs a day and he goes out to the woods and cuts down a tree and piles up 13 logs a day that means he has ten more logs every day than he is burning and ten more logs each day that is being piled up outside the cabin. If he keeps this up you won't be able to see the cabin because he will have covered it up with logs. Same thing with carbs and sugars. If you eat more than your burning pretty soon you become overweight and have fat deposits and a belly and you won't be able to see the real you or your cabin....
Its not our fault. We have been taught to fill up on bread and pastas and carbs as children. Well times have changed. The plan is simple eat less carbs more protein and you will loose weight. If you don't exercise it will take longer and you won't be as successful. If you exercise you will see it happen within 2-3 weeks. Then after you get to your ideal weight or where you want to be you adjust and figure out what kind of carbs you need. It is at this point that you need to eat vegetable and proteins keeping carbs for early in the day so you will bun them off. Then you need to make the right decision when eating. Go with corn tortillas not flour. When you have to eat whole grain bread and wheat pasta or have a wrap instead of a sub samich!! Stay away from sugars and pop and stuff they go right to fat!! If you have to ask someone if they think something is bad for you then don't eat it.
I don't claim to be better than anyone else. I have made some mistakes in my life and have changed my ways and I am still here to share my learnings with you all. So Now as I drive around I can't believe how many people I see eating like shit!! Just driving in the car alone!! Pops and burgers and fries and SHIT!!! Like I said it doesn't make me any better than them but I know that I am better off with out those foods and garbage in me. I see people who sit behind a desk all day long and then they eat a huge samich and fries for lunch and a big ass pop!! First you are doing nothing physical to burn this off!! Second this is not good food to be consuming on a daily basis full of saturated fats and unnecessary carbs!! Candy bars for no reason!! Oh my gosh!!! Even people drinking sugary teas and stuff thinking they are on the road to weight loss!!! Make it stupid simple!! The thong season 2006 summer is right around the corner start training now!!!!!
I got it together and lost 80lbs and at 40 years of age I am in the best shpae of my life. People who know me have seen the transformation and can't believe it. So Jump on the pain train with me and lets get this country back into shpae!!!

Personal Trainers??
So yesterday I goes to the DOGPOUND GYM and the personal trainer there got a-hold of me. I don't claim to know everything about weightlifting and will take suggestions and directions whenever and wherever. My thought process is when you think you know all there is to know then find someone who knows more and learn from them. I told This PT that I heard he only charges like $15.00 a session and that in the near future I would be contacting him and I would be having him give me a session. So I get to the gym yesterday and I have not seen this PT for like 10 days with my 3 day vacation and shift change and all. Well we started talking and he said hey man I got a client coming in for a session in like 20 minutes so here let me show you something. With this he proceeded to KILL ME DEAD!!! This guy looked at me and said yeah you need to stop your flat bench and go more for the incline to build the top of your chest and you REALLY need to isolate that muscle!! So now I am on the bench and he also said I was lifting way to much weight. So I let him lead and he's yelling " Come on Bill! There are no Pussies here!! Come on give me two more!! He has me using this extremely wide grip and I can feel my pecs just ripping and shredding!! So I give him two more, then he yells COME ON Bill!! Two more!! I'm like BITCH I just gave you two!! So I give two more and then we started the negative reps!! He would pull the weight up and I would let it down to my chest very slow!! OUCHHHH!!! He would then take the weight and by then my arms would just fall to my sides. I was sitting there shaking and trembling I was making a sound somewhere between a laugh and a cry My body was on fire and man it was intense. It felt just as good as the Big O!!! Arnold was the first to say that getting the pump was like cumming and he was definitely right!!! This is gonna be a good thing working out at this gym. Summer 2006 is right around the corner and there is no time to waste!!! So in closing he is showing me how to work out smarter and stay more Anabolic than Catabolic, ( I will explain that more in a later post) I will actually get better and more results and cut my weight lifting workout time down to about an hour from two hours. I guess that will leave more time for cardio....Yuck!!!

Bears Loose!!
The Bengals pounced on the bears from the get go. Orton (Bears QB) threw 5 interception which got a chuckle and a smirk out of Grossman who was standing on the side lines leaning on crutches. They played like shit. The Defense di well but became tired because they had to be out on the field so freakin much! I went over to Father Bills house and brought 1 lb of Gizzards, 1 lb of livers and 1 pound of mushrooms (deep fried garden type not the ones with big purple veins) and Father and I devoured all of it. Thats the worst I have eaten all summer so I am still on track. Well the Bears get a Bi week and we will see them next weekend! Hopefully they will come back rested and ready to play!! Bitches!

Farm Aid 2005
I got there with my bro in law at around 2:30 after watching the Bears kick Detriots ass up and down the gridiron!!
We walked around and waitied for the spouses to arrive. I brought a cooler with 20 bottles of H2O and Julies (my Wife) brought sub sams from Jerads joint! Subway. (I had 2 chicken wraps).
I could have brought the camera in but didn't realize it till the last minute and well Oh well. We had Sky box seats and well read the next entry Bitch!!

Susan Tredichi at Farm Aid Jammed!
She was the first of the headliners to make an appearance, and man did she wail! She did three songs and jammed her ass off. She has an excellent blues voice ranging from high highs to real grainy lows and a scream that would Janis Joplin proud! She did one of my favorites off her "slow burn" album "It hurts so bad". After Susan Buddy Guy came out with John Mayer and they put on an excellent set of 3-4 songs. At one point Buddy who has got to be in his mid 60's almost fell flat on his face and a cameraman when he missed a step coming down from the platform to get closer to the crowd! I mean he had to do like 4 -5 real quick steps while still playing!! John Mayer kept up with him and really sounded good on the guitar but don't try to sing the soulful blues John....
Los Lonely Boys.... I love Texas Blues and man can these Latin Bastardos Jam!

"I caught you a delicious Bass" Bill's 4 day "Sabathacal" and he is back!!
Well I hope I am welcome back?
I went up to the lake and had some alone, down, decompression time. I went up with a limited supply of money and food and a good book and all I did was fish, finish some chores at the lake house and relax. It rained and stormed a day and a half but I still was able to recharge my internal battery. The fishing was not good but on the last day I hooked into this half way decent hog!! ( I catch and release)
I see nothing much has changed around hair...Opps did I Fruedien slip that hair part in there? No what the hell Toe Knee!! I am gonna get a hold of you and shave your eyebrow you little sniveling gossiper!!

POWERLIFTERS!!
Today at the gym I bench pressed 350 lbs a few times. I felt great and loved it. After that I continued on with my chest workout till I could hardly move any weight with my pecs. Then I worked on my Tricepts and as I did a couple of new guys came into the gym. Greg and his father Web. The only powerlifter I new before them was Duane the owner of the gym and I have yet to really see him work out. I think he lifts before I get there. Well Greg and his Dad put 2 45 lb plates on the bar and threw that up. Then they put 2 more and then 2 more and then 2 more each time popping them up like nothing! They where benching 400lbs like nothing and Web I believe is in his mid 50's! It was great to see such power at work!! More to come from these guys.

This is powerlifting at its finest. This is an incredible amount of weight to be lifting. Very impressive and very tempting. I enjoy body building more because I don't like the bulky body you need to have to be a power lifter. and don't tell me you don't need the bulk!! I am going to ask Greg and Web what drives them to powerlift. For me I dig bodybuilding because you need to be training constantly. Your diet your sleep everything that goes into your body needs to have a rhyme and reason!! Plus the lifting is more intense with bodybuilding. You have to totally isolate the muscle group your working and that takes concentration and great form. Powerlifting you use a group of muscles to perform the lift so its not as ...... Well I am not putting the power lifter down at all, I am just giving my point of view and after I talk to Greg and Web and Duane over at the Dog pound gym I will post what drives them!!!
600 lb Bench Press!!
Today I was very pleased with myself because I was able to bench 350 lbs a few times. My best bench was 400 lbs. Today all that was pushed to the side as I met Greg and his Father Web. They threw 2, 45 lb plates on the bar and popped it up, then they threw 2 more on and popped that up. Then threw 2 more on, and then another 2 more they had 8 plates on the bar over 400lbs and Web the father who seemed to be in his late fifties threw it up 5 times no problem!!! Then Greg put it up. I was ending my work out about that time and left but I can see the attraction there for wanting all that power. I like body building and I am strong and built with a small waist. I believe it takes more discipline and dedication and that feeds my ego more than just putting up a lot of weight. That's just my perspective I think next time I see these guys I will ask them why they dig powerlifting over body building. I think the powerlifter can be translated into 16 inch softball and the bodybuilder can be translated into golfing......Props to all who muster up the time and energy to do either one. They say the meek shall inherit the earth but whole the FUCK is gonna hold shit up for you weak ass bitches????
POWERLIFTERS!!!
I have been meeting some different kind of weight lifters at the gym. I am not used to these people they are POWERLIFTERS!! There is a lot of difference in the way they train and the way the bodybuilder trains. First they use very heavy weights. Second they only do a few reps and lots of sets. Third their form is not exactly perfect. The body builder uses the muscle till its exhausted and then hits it again to make the muscle shred and this enables more muscle fibers to build giving you bigger muscles. In order to do this you need to isolate the muscle group with which you are working and then keep the muscle tight as you lift the weight using only that specified muscle group to lift it. The Power lifter uses numerous groups of muscles to perform these lifts. Lots of power lifters have that bulky grizzly bear look to them because they need that bulk to help get the weight up. I would love to have the power but I don't want the bulk. I work to hard keeping that weight off and that makes it worth my wild.. I am still striving to be stronger but I will be satisfied with the combination of strength and build!!!

I am taking my wife to see Jimmy Buffet this weekend and we are really looking forward to it. Should be pretty cool. He has always put a great show on everytime I have seen him. The fans are great. Well September is the end of summer.....Also the last of the outdoor concerts. This will be the last concert of 2005 at least outdoor for me. Farm aid will host Buddy Guy, Los Lonely boys, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, John Cougar and Willie Nelson. Should be good. Although I think its going to become Katrina Aid???

MY BAD!!
For the last few posts I have been refering to this gentleman as Earle Sandow, His actual name is Eugene Sandow. I got him confussed with Earle Lieberman the afore mention self proclaimed expert on phyiscal conditioning who wrote an exercise routine from 1923 which I was in the midst of reading. My sincer apoligiez go out to both gentlemen involved. Once again though I would like to point out that EUGENE here has an excelent muscle tone and definition even in the early 1900's. Hard work good diet and exercise and you will get results.
