JonnyCashFinger

One of the funny conversations I was involved with on Christmas eve besides the knock knock joke marathon with my 4 year old nephew that ended with truck who? TRUCK YOU!!!!LOL Was a conversation with Idobeastool about how funny it was to have a hair lipped singer singing like JOhnny Cash, Joaquin Pheonix is the one we discussed. That led to a repitware of Cash songs being sung with a hairlip accent..
"I fmell imto a burmen ming om mire" or "Because your mime , I malk da mine". I yes it wouldn't have been the Holidays without the two us picking on the less fortunate...I just thought I would share that with you.

King Kong!!

KingKong_1933_01

Well since I have the day off I am going to take the family to see KING KONG!! Yeah three hours of special effects and kids talking and cell phones beeping. I swear I am gonna go APE SHIT!! in the theater if I am subject to one person who is not in the frame of mind to remember to put their phone on vibrate. Just because I would be right and someone needs to be yelled at in public today!! I don't know thats Just the way I feel today.
I hope the movie is good. It should be I hear a lot of people talking about it. I just know the theater is gonna be packed.. I guess it's gotta be better than a "hairlip imperssonation of Johny Cash "I Malked imo a burmen ming om mire" Oh well it's the holiday. Talk to ya'll later.

So I am expecting a good hard hitting painful game between these two teams and I can't wait!!!
Go Bears!!

The editor explains ...

Friday, December 23, 2005

There are moments in the life of a newspaper editor when you pick up the paper and your heart soars. Your reporters have broken a great story, your photographer captured just the right moment, your staff just nailed it.

Then there are days when your heart sinks. For me, Tuesday was one of those heart-sinking days.

Our headline - "Police shooting justified?" - placed over the lead story about the fatal shooting of an armed robber in the Midlothian Dunkin' Donuts, did not accurately convey the point of the story. The headline took one part of the story, a politically motivated criticism of police, and presented it in the wrong context.

To clarify for our readers and today's letter writers, reporters do not write headlines. They report and write stories. Editors read and edit those stories and decide story placement. Copy editors write headlines - and attempt to write headlines that capture the attention of busy readers, particularly on Page 1 stories.

The facts of the story, however, did not justify this headline.

- Dennis Robaugh, managing editor

Readers defend shooting
of robber in Midlothian
Family should ask themselves

I read and heard on the news about the shooting of the man who robbed a Dunkin' Donuts in Midlothian. I think the family should look to themselves for answers to why the suspect was crawling through a window and pistol-whipped an employee of the establishment.

I wonder what action they would have done if the same thing would have happened to them. It is high time people are accountable for their actions. If someone commits a crime, points a gun at someone and makes a decision to rob, hurt and even possibly kill someone, then he made his decisions, and the consequences of his actions was being shot and killed.

He had a gun; he used it to pistol whip an employee; he pointed it at an officer. He is responsible for his own death.

To the family members if you cared so much, where were you when he decided to take this route?

Pamela Gray

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Facts don't justify headline

Please put me in my place if I'm wrong, but from what I can tell this man was attempting to rob the shop, then produced a weapon which made it an armed robbery, beat the hell out of one of the employees, then when he saw police he pointed his gun at them.

Police then shot him.

Those are the facts you give in your article, so why is your headline "Police shooting justified?"

What's with the question mark? I'm no lawyer, but that case sounds like a slam dunk to me.

Tony Caturano
Orland Park

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why the question mark?

Let me preface this by saying I am not a subscriber to the Daily Southtown but do occasionally read the articles that are relevant on the Internet.

I am a Chicago police officer and I live in the West Beverly neighborhood, and I am outraged by the slant taken in the Dec. 20, 2005, article about the police shooting that occurred in Midlothian. I have never been angered enough by a piece of writing that I had to send a letter to the editor. Until today!

From the headline of "Police Shooting Justified?" at the start it is apparent that you have taken the side of the "gentleman" who was robbing the Dunkin' Donuts at gunpoint and happened to get killed.

What evidence do you have that this was not justified that would warrant the question mark in the headline?

Each witness that was interviewed stated the police were justified except the omnipresent ministers and family members who come forward to get in on the inevitable lawsuit. May I ask where they were when this misguided creature was committing his crime?

Your first paragraph informs us that it was Mr. Pounds' birthday. Well whoop-de-do! That is extremely relevant to the case, huh?

The man (and I use that term loosely) was robbing a store at GUNPOINT! Would you care that it was his birthday if the employee were related to you? How about the police officers who will now undoubtedly have nightmares about the gun that was pointed at them?

Do you think the upcoming holidays they will share with their families will be a little bit more somber knowing that they could have been killed by an idiot who created havoc for a living?

How about your next paragraph where the offender's brother is interviewed and also later in the article where there is a statement about how he "hoped" to start a job in the spring? Must be nice not to have to work 'til then, huh?

And he was "striving to stay on the right track."

BY ROBBING A STORE? ARMED?!

Police officers are people, too. Why don't you think about that next time you right a touching story about the poor family who will be missing their felon this Christmas.

This is merely another example of a misguided cry of racism as that offender needed to be stopped by lethal force whether he was white, black, Hispanic or Oriental.

Sometimes when the threat is elevated, criminals need to be killed and this criminal needed to be killed.

I wish a Merry Christmas to each of the officers involved and extend to them a hearty "well done."

As for you, I would hope that in the future you show some better judgment in your writing.

Focus on the facts

How can you even title this article with a question mark? Let me guess, Bobby Pounds went to Dunkin' Donuts because he likes the coffee. I mean every citizen goes to Dunkin' Donuts carrying a gun.

Let's stay focused on the facts. Unfortunately, one of the facts is the offender is an African-American. I did not read anything about the ethnic background of the victim that was just doing his/her job at Dunkin' Donuts.

Let's not allow some so-called reverend to skew the facts by trying to make the offender a victim. Bobby Pounds chose to commit a brutal crime, knowing there could be severe consequences for his actions.

This is not an issue about open season on African-Americans, it is an issue about a violent offender making a bad decision. I find Rev. Lance Davis' comments to be an insult to all law-abiding Americans.

The police responded to the actions of Bobby Pounds.

The police are sworn to protect persons and property. An offender beating a victim up while holding a gun is clearly a threat to the victim. I am sure if Rev. Davis was the victim, working his job at Dunkin Donuts that night, he would have been glad that the police prevented any further tragedy.

This incident is tragic, but let's not forget who initiated the seriousness of the incident.

EXCESSIVE FORCE?

Take a minute to read this one. I know it's a little long but this happened in my neighborhood and its quite disturbing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the last hour of his 21st birthday, a Dixmoor man was shot and killed by police after he allegedly climbed through a doughnut shop's drive-up window, robbed the store and pistol-whipped an employee.
The dead man's relatives and ministers said Bobby Pounds might have been the victim of "brute or excessive force" by police officers and called for an end to the "open season on young African-American men."

DeAndre Moore, Pounds' older brother, said what happened Sunday night "was straight out of character."

Midlothian Detective Sgt. Harold Kaufman said Monday he is "very, very confident" the officers' actions were appropriate after seeing the security video from the Dunkin' Donuts shop.

"The officers were at the right place at the right time," Kaufman said. "I honestly feel, from the beating (the victim) took, they saved his life by being there."

Pounds repeatedly used his gun to beat the employee's head and face, police said.

The victim received 19 staples and nine stitches before he was released Monday from St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island, police said.

The two officers, whom officials refused to identify, are on paid leave while the Illinois State Police public integrity unit investigates the incident.

It was the first fatal police shooting in Midlothian in at least 16 years, Kaufman said.

At 11:15 p.m. Sunday, police said Pounds walked up to the drive-up window of the shop, 14631 S. Pulaski Road, and ordered a cup of coffee and a doughnut.

The store's seating area closes at 9:30 p.m., but the window is open 24 hours.

Pounds then reached into the window, grabbed the employee and demanded money, police said.

When the worker backed up, Pounds climbed through the narrow window and pulled out a "small caliber revolver," Kaufman said.

The employee gave Pounds several hundred dollars from the cash register, but he wanted more and demanded the employee open the safe, police said.

"(The employee) told him he didn't have the key," Kaufman said. "I guess (Pounds) didn't believe him."

Meanwhile, a second employee slipped out of the shop's back door and ran to Pulaski, where he flagged down a passing police car.

The officers got out of the squad car and saw Pounds beating the store employee, Kaufman said.

Pounds turned and moved toward the front door when he spotted the officers and pointed the gun at them, Kaufman said.

The officers drew their weapons and fired up to 10 rounds, shattering two windows and a door.

"I heard four pops and thought it was fireworks," said J.J. Sebastian, who lives in an apartment building behind the doughnut shop. "Then I heard quicker ones, and I knew something was up."

Sebastian said he rushed outside and saw broken glass on the ground and more police officers rushing to the scene. The 22-year-old construction laborer had returned earlier Sunday after a weeklong vacation in Mexico.

"I wasn't excited about coming back to the snow," he said, "but I never expected a shooting and robbery next door to me. I'm pretty tired of bad things happening around here."

Pounds was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 11:31 p.m., according to a Cook County medical examiner's office spokesman.

Pounds' last known address was the 5200 block of Riverside Drive in Richton Park, but relatives said he was living in Dixmoor to care for his grandmother.

DeAndre Moore said his brother attended Thornton High School in Harvey. Pounds was taking GED classes at South Suburban College and hoped to start working in construction this spring.

"He was striving to stay on the right track," Moore said as two female relatives sobbed loudly.

Pounds pleaded guilty to retail theft in 2003. He also was fined in August for attempting to solicit drugs, according to court records.

He is survived by two sons, Ryan, 4, and Justin, 17 months.

More than 20 family members gathered Monday at Midwest Memorial Chapel in Harvey to make funeral arrangements and challenge police to provide answers.

"We're not here today to argue innocence or guilt," said the Rev. Lance Davis, of New Zion Christian Fellowship in Dolton. "We're here to raise questions as to the amount of force used to murder an individual and to stop the open season on young African-American men in the community."

The Rev. Donald Luster, who was a youth leader for Pounds at Arc of the Covenant Baptist Church in Dolton, said police may have used "brute or excessive force" by shooting Pounds multiple times.

"How many times does it take to get a 6-foot, 140-pound male down," he asked.

Davis said the family planned to ask police to see the security video. They want to know if Pounds attempted to surrender and if an altercation with the employees spurred his behavior.

They also questioned why there was blood outside the Dunkin' Donuts shop if Pounds was inside when he was shot.

"We should get the whole story," Davis said.

OK The good Rev. Lance Davis, Sounds like he needs to be pistol whiped by a young punk just like this Pounds did to this store employee and see if he asks the cops that come and save his ass if they used excessive force!
This is what I find to be ridiculous, I really am sick and tired of people looking for a reason to speak out!
Lets look at the fact here. A youth who has been in trouble with robbery before, attemps to rob a store, he is in the midst of pistol whiping one of the employees, when the cops arrive he spins around and points his gun at the police officers. The cops unload on him to defend themselves and the question this idiot Rev. Lance Davis has is was this excessive force?
What ever happened to people being worried about looking stupid with something they say. Apparently this guy don't care if he looks stupid asking this question. Why did the cops use excessive force? I ask the Rev. This, what matters if he was shot once twice or one hundred times? With all do respect Rev. Go back to the neighborhood this reptile Pounds crawled out of on this day and see if you can save someone who will be more than likely to follow in his footsteps. Or do you consider having lost souls like this chap job security? So the next time a punk like this threatens someone's life with a loaded weapon and the cops take him out then you can once again question the amount of force used......
I am sick of this shit. I am not racist, it does not matter what color or creed this individule was, It's the fact that this is another attempt for a low life to take something from someone who is working hard for it! Fuck him! If he didn't put himself in this place he would be alive to help his family celebrate Christmas. Now someone has has to Celebrate this Holiday with 19 staples in their head while 2 Peace officers have to soul search and wonder if God will still except them into heaven because they had to kill someone to save another.
Merry Christmas De Andre Pounds. I think you did your kids a favor by getting yourself killed. Now they won't have to grow up and have the possability of your selfish stealing ways accidently rubbing off on them. They now have a better chance of making a possitive effect on society, not instill fear in good honest hardworking people like you did scum bag..
Rev. Lance Davis refind the reason you wanted to preach Gods word and help save someone. Don't use your pulpit to become another Al Sharpton or Jesse. Find the cause you were choosen for and do it man do it! Don't ask questions just so you can get in the media.
Merry Christmas Assface!!!!

Enjoy this read.

Three wrestlers are serving 10-day suspensions while officials at Argo Community High School investigate allegations of hazing on a team bus.
At least one senior on the wrestling team is accused of committing a sexual prank known as "teabagging" against several freshman team members.

The boy apparently shoved his testicles in the faces of his teammates in order to humiliate or haze them, according to a parent who asked not to be identified.

The alleged hazing occurred on Dec. 1 during the 15-mile trip back to Summit from a dual meet at Bremen High School that featured the freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams.

Three paid coaches, one volunteer coach and approximately 45 students were on the bus. One member of the wrestling team is female. Activity bus routes are not videotaped.

Parents brought the hazing complaints to the Argo athletic director on Dec. 9, more than a week after the wrestling meet.

District 217 Supt. Frank Stout said students did not report the incident earlier because they feared retribution.

School officials held a parent meeting and suspended three students from school and sport for 10 days beginning Dec. 12. Winter break extends from Monday to Jan. 3.

Stout said the suspensions were related to the bus incident, but that what happened is unclear and still under investigation.

The school has alerted both the Summit police and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services of its investigation, though Stout wasn't sure yet if it should be characterized as hazing, bullying, abuse or assault. DCFS doesn't appear to be investigating. Stout said it will be up to parents to press charges.

"We know something happened on the bus and that it was completely unacceptable," he said.

Summit police Lt. Michael Long said two parents came to the department last week to report their sons were targets of the hazing. They wanted to make it a matter of record but said they were relying on the school to handle punishment.

Teabagging would constitute misdemeanor battery, Long said.

As of Tuesday morning, school officials had interviewed at least a dozen students. They either were not forthright about what happened during the bus trip or gave differing versions of events, Stout said. More interviews were scheduled Tuesday afternoon.

The students who were suspended did not confess to the hazing, and their punishments may be adjusted depending on new evidence or testimony, Stout said.

Argo Community High School requires students and athletes to follow a social behavior code. Sexual harassment and assault generally trigger suspension, criminal charges or expulsion, according to the district's Web site.

The term "teabagging" has made its way into pop culture through movies such as "Soul Plane" and the hit television show "Sex and the City." It is also doled out as punishment in some multi-player video and online games.

Varsity athletes have been known to quietly use the prank, alongside urinating in lockers and rubbing menthol cream in helmets, to haze underclassmen. A Santa Clara, Calif., boy was expelled from school in November after hazing a fellow football player by teabagging. He said he was on the receiving side of the abuse as a sophomore.

Hazing is defined by experts as any activity expected of someone joining a group or trying to maintain full status in a group that humiliates, degrades or risks emotional or physical harm, regardless of the person's willingness to participate.

The activities are generally considered to be physically abusive, hazardous or sexually violating.

Death penalty or Not?

Since this Tookie case I have been reading a lot of bloggers commenting on whether they are for or against the DP. Also they are posting whether they believe he was innocent or guilty. The tally has been even on both side leaning a little more to the fact that he paid for the sins of killing those people. What people? I don't know. I have not been privy to this case I didn't pay attention to it with all the hype. Sometimes people get on the band wagon just because they are looking for a cause or something to make them feel like they are being part of something constructive. I want to comment on what we are trying to do in society and how people have to be held accountable for their actions. This type of conversation can go off on many different angles of this topic. Should we impose the DP on murderers? It can lead to the question of what if they have been rehabilitated, or what if there is a question of doubt in the juror's mind when attempting to reach a verdict.
Rehabilitation:
I left a comment on Attention Whores blog a day ago, I don't know if she deleted it like she has with some of my other comments... I don't know why she deleted them but anyhow. The gist of my ramblings within that comment went as follows, I believe we spend a lot of money on welfare and such like keeping prisons running. I went on to say that a lot of people are held up in prison being fed and housed off of our tax dollars. Well these people are in prison for a reason. They need to see what it is like to have to work for there keep. Not steal not kill not expect the government to hand it over likes it is owed to them. I know we had prisoners pressing license plates for a while and then gave them a few cents an hour so they could buy stuff at the convesary. Well lets run with that idea. Use these individuals to do other things and make products and such and have them earn the cell they are living in, have them work and earn the food they are given, have them work and earn the cot they sleep on. If they don't then they go hungry or they sleep outside in the exercise yard being exposed to the elements. This way they will see what it's like to have to work for the things they want not just take them from other people who have earned them. They will have to work just like every other citizen in society does. No one gets anything for free. Everyone can contribute something. (you see from here I can go and attack the pregnant mothers on welfare with more than one baby, or the welfare recipients buying beer with their check but I won't I will get back on track.)

That's my idea on rights for the people who are imprisoned. I think that everyone realizes that our judicial system has gotten to a point where it needs to be revamped. People call themselves lawyers looking for a loophole that will deny some evidence that may be totally incriminating and prove positive whether this individual committed the crime or not. What is this a game? It should not be but it's time to sit back and say, WTF. When things get to a certain level or have been around long enough they have to be fine tuned and adjusted to fit the change of times. I believe it's time for that. (this is a point where I could say "if they acquitted OJ they can find loopholes in anyone's story" but I won't).

In society we have to show people there is an reaction to every action. If you play now you will pay later. So should tookie have been executed? I don't know I really don't or have not given it much thought with the facts I have on the case and that is none. I am pretty sure he had something to do with the deaths of these people, and if he did he should never know what true freedom is. We also have to send a message to the youngsters out there. So you think it's cool to be a gang banger or a gangster? Well let them see some photographs of the gunshot victims and let them see what a bullet can do to a human head. I don't know if this will stop some of the crime but the parents of a lot of these kids are not doing anything. I hate to say it but society has become so desensitised from violence that people have lost the mortal feeling of what happens when you someone dies.. They don't realize that hopes and dreams are smashed. Lives are shattered and people loose more trust in their higher power. (I used that term to stay politically correct.)
Just some random thoughts what do you think?

Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates

Lumping fresh fruit with Fruit Loops is the problem,
part of the deceiving dribble like "All Things in
Moderation", and "There is No Such Thing as a Bad
Food". Decades of dieting has proven this is a pack
of lies. Moderation? One cookie turns into a bag of
cookies in a matter of hours. A half cup of ice cream
turns into a half gallon in an evening. Food addiction
is a fact, not a cartoon. When you eat food that leaves
you empty of nutrients, you stay hungry and keep on
eating. Cooked fruit, fruit drinks, peeled potatoes,
white flour - bread, pasta and so on is BAD, not
neutral, it is DAMAGING carbs. (see Sugar)

It is not will power, it is chemistry. Quality carbs, such
as raw fruit and whole grains, are vital to feeling and
being well. No one is too fat from eating too much
Real Food.

Low carb diets make a dent in weight loss for many
when all else failed because you quit eating crummy
carbs AND YOU QUIT EATING PROTEIN & CARBS
AT THE SAME TIME. Protein is digested with acids,
carbs by alkalis, the two at the same time work
against each other and you.

Eat meat, eat potatoes, in the same day, just not at
the same meal. You get food that is easier to digest, a
fuel you can use, no heartburn and you feel alert
instead of exhausted.

Makes sense don't it? If you think it does then you have taken the first step to proper eating. If you think this is bullshit then you stuck in a rut..Have fun with eating bad..

Da Bears!!

sfb005

OK I am heading out the door this morning at 7:00 am to help the church sell luminary kits. You know the kits of sand and bags and candles that good God fearing people line their walk ways and drive ways with on Christmas to leave a path for Christ. I guess its kind of like landing strip lights at an airport. Unlike the terrible incident at my beloved Midway airport,I think everyone is hoping that Christ overruns these runnways and finds his way into all of our lives this Holiday Season.
So i will be out there dressed in my ski garb to keep warm.. After that I hope to be watching the Bears vs The Steelers on a new 51 "inch HDTV!!! If all goes well I will have a post on that.. GO BEARS!!!

Positive Thinking!!

arnold

You must consider that in the beginning you are training the mind as well as the body. The mind, after all, makes you want to train; it turns on the body. Because the mind motivates you to train the body, you have to train the mind first. If the mind doesn't want to lift weights, the body won't lift them.

The mind is incredible. Once you've gained mastery over it, channeling its powers positively for your purposes, you can do anything. I mean anything. The secret is to make your mind work for you-not against you. This means constantly being positive, constantly setting up challenges you can meet-either today, next week, or next month. "I can't..." should be permanently stricken from your vocabulary, especially the vocabulary of your thoughts. You must see yourself always growing and improving.

You should strive to improve your body a little bit at a time. Don't push the mind too much either; let the mind stay hungry for more, tease the mind a little bit. This is why I suggest you start small, with a fairly easy program. Let the body say to the mind, "I feel good, this isn't too hard. I'm ready for more!" Give it more, give it a little bit more. Then, slowly, as the mind is ready for it, you can increase the amount of weight you use and the number of repetitions you do of an exercise.

This is taken from Arnolds book "ARNOLD: The Education of a Bodybuilder" written in 1977.
These very thoughts can be used in any type of positive thinking. Whether you seek inner healing, self-meditation, or just want to be more of a positive thinker...
This played a mager role in his training and how he succeded in obtaining his goals..
Give it another read and I am sure we can all learn from this piece of information.

Aerosmith!!!!

aerosmith_l

When I asked her what she wanted for her B-day my wife said and MP-3 player I-pod type of music listening to devise that she can use while at the gym. I thought hey thats a good idea.. I was gonna get US tickets to see Aerosmith which I now she would have loved. With todays prices on both of those items it was either one or the other so we are currently looking for the perfect MP-3 player for her.

Ladies and Gentlemen SCOTT STAPP!!!

stapp1

Talk about having the world by it's collective balls and blowing it! Once again he is up to no good. Apparently Mr Stapp was at a hotel bar and got in a fight with the guys from 311.
Do you believe this? Honestly. Or do you think it's the media picking at him?

Well I happen to be present at the concert in Chicago that sent Creed into it's final tailspin!! Idobeastool was there with me and other loved ones. We all witnessed a horrible spectacle of Scott Stapp who was obviously too drunk to perform. I am sure you all heard the story but Big Bill has more inside info. I spoke to Godzilla who ran security at the All State Arena. He told me "Yep, Stapp was shooting his mouth off with the guys from Local H (A Chicago band)" and said he was a Rock Star and that he could drink them under the table. So the boys from Local H said "well lets go rock star" and with that they grabbed a bottle of Jagermeifter and started slamming shots. Scott ended up passing out and his manager had to shove his head into the ice water of a tub used to keep cans of beer and pop cold!! After that Scott was just out of it!! He should have never gone to sleep. Godzilla said they had to pretty much force him to go on stage.. Scott finally said "OK!! but for two songs only". After he did his piss poor job of singing those songs which I witnessed. He tried getting back off stage. Godzilla and the boys would not let him off. They turned him back around and told him nope two more you promised. He was like a little kid stamping and yelling but he kept going back out there!!
What I witnessed was a shirtless drunk Scott Stapp who was so drunk when he came onstage I took one look at him and turned to Idobeastool and said "he's hammered!!" At one point he laid down on the stage he had no shoes on just socks, and was laying on his back singing his songs!! It was terrible.
I had seen Creed twice before that and they put on some of the best shows I have ever seen!! They where actually moving!! He had a definite gift when he was on top but now he is just heading down farther and farther!! What's next? I am so glad I gave up drinking!!

COME ON!!!!

This is the Santa of Today!!!

Evil%20Santa

I hate to sound like a complaining OLD MAN and I have yet to have anything or anypart of this holiday season rub me the wrong way.....YET!!! Give it time....
I have already heard of stories and seen video clips of shoppers fighting over sale items at the stores!!
I do not like lines and all the waiting.. I don't mind crowds I love to people watch but I get a little tired of people who are not into the season and if they get in a long line and there is some kind of hold up or problem with the register or whatever they get all impatient and start huffing and puffing and even sometimes cause a scene.
I have been in a rush before but I try not to get pissy. If I attack anyone I usually wait for an idiot to get rousty with an employee of the store I am shopping at or waitress and then I usually tell them to settle down and use a little intimation to get them to shut up!!
So even that attitude is so out of wack for the Holidays!!! This is what I am talking about. You don't hear any stories about how someone had an excellent time shopping bhla bhla bhla!!
So meet the Santa of Now a Day's!!!
Saint Nick The Dick!!!

Movie line

OK here is another.
" I'd piss on a sparkplug if I thought it would do any good"
or "Thats about as funny a gut full of pin worms!!
Or "And Don't come back for 5 to 7 days!!"

NEED TO LOOSE A FEW POUNDS??? I KNOW SOMEONE WHO DOES!!

3yearspostop

I remember when I was a young lad, OHH about 20 years ago. At that time I wanted to get away from all the drugs and evil that was presenting itself to me here and there and seeing that I was too smart for college I decided the military was the best bet for me. So I and friend who will remain nameless (Bryan) went to the recruiting centers and started to speak to the recruiters. At one point my folks sat me down and said go Air Force... I think it was because I was already flying high.. My friend (Bryan) and I went to a recruiter and spoke with them and we decided we both wanted to be MP's (Military Police) The recruiter told me I would have to loose some weight. I asked him "how much?" He said "30lbs, how long will that take you?" I was naive at the time and knew little or nothing about weight loss and figured uhmm" a pound a day....uhmm times 30 days....uhmmm carry the 1 uhmm.....It will take me 30 days!" He looked at me like I was Nuckin Futs!! So went home and immediately started to diet. I took this big huge 5 gallon pot out of the garage and filled it with cabbage, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, anytype of vegetable you could think off went into that pot and then I would boil it and that's what my diet consisted of for the next two to three weeks.....I went jogging and did like 200 to 300 situps every day.. And sure enough I was young enough and my body responded well to this type of erratic change and the weight just fell off. I know what your saying that soup was total carbs... But yes it worked, I think because I almost shit myself into an early grave...LOL To make a long story short I got to a few days before weigh in and was at 214 lbs and needed to be at 212 lbs. The day and night before my physical and weigh in I was at 213'ish and was wondering what would happen so all I ate was a pickle.... I was load up with Aqua-ban Water pills for menstruating women who don't want to retain water...I had my system so out of wack that when I gave them urine sample it was brown!! It looked like a shot of whiskey!! That was do to all the iron in my system from the water pills.
Needless to say I made it in and always had a rough time with the weight issue but was never fat!! I lifted weights and kept in shape except one time I just started trying to get out of the service on the fat boy program cause I was so sick of the service.. But I toughed it out and pushed on They ended up raising my max weight to 235 lbs because of my shape..
Well I know someone else who is going through the exact same thing right now....It is just so uncanny how this is happening to my son Androooo...He is scheduled to leave on Tuesday of next week and is right a this weight if not a little bit over.. So he is a wreck. But if I can do it anyone can so we will talk him through. He is not fat. Little soft in some spots but who isn't. So for the next few days He is creating caloric deficit and increasing his cardio-vascular exercising in order to burn off that 2-3 lbs and not have to worry about being sent home....
So lets give him some words of wisdom and keep his head pointed in the correct direction...Focus boy!! No carbs! No fruits! excercise chicken breast, and water, eggs, Some prunes early in the morning so you burn off the carbs in them and they will help you evacuate your system (Go Poo Poo). Lets help him out people so now he can realize how bread is not really our friend and lets give him the encouragement he needs to pull through this one...More updates as I receive them...
Peace Bitches

Fridays movie quote!!!

OK, Chrissie left a comment on my last post and I retorted to it as usual and as I did I used a movie quote as usual...So I started to think " Am I the only person who uses movie quotes in everyday conversation?" If I was that would make me a pretty sad individual, not being able to have anything of my own to say and only being able to use comments of someone else that have been used before.... Then the brain kicked into gear and I started thinking that man, I bet nobody recently has a conversation about something for the first time in years.. Ya know what I mean? The first one to bring the subject up ever. Oh sure everyone talks, but somewhere someplace someone is talking about or has talked about exactly what your talking about right now....It would be selfish to think that your the inventer of a certain topic or issue..You might put a new twist on it but everything has happened before...And has been talked about before...Except the conversation when the first gay man asked his life partner about sticking a live gerbil up his ass...I am sure that was probably a first.. Anyhow...This type of thought helps me remember that drugs are not good for you....
So lets see how many other people have the same knowledge of movies and line memory as I do...These aren't going to be obscure or even very difficult I want to see how many people can remember these starting with the one I used on Chrissie.

"Ah yes.... You obviously have a wonderful economy with words, I look forward to your next syllable with great eagerness"
Name of the movie and character who read these lines....

This is not a race or a contest... its a sort of information gathering tool. Thanks for participating...
